Abstract

Contains a petition of Mary Grisham, widow of Charles Grisham of Essex County, to Robert Carter, President of the Council, asking that she or her eldest son William be granted a patent for one hundred acres of land which William McCanway died seized. According to the petition, this land escheated by the decision of Col. John Robinson, Esq., Escheator, and was claimed by Edmond Bagg, nephew of Rev. John Bagg.
