Abstract

Contains proceedings of King George I in Council regarding the repeal of the tobacco law passed in 1714 to prevent frauds in tobacco payments & an act passed in 1714 for the better regulation of the Indian trade. In addition, the Council orders reimbursement for the Indian Company who built a public magazine at their own expense. Lastly, the Council also orders all the colonies be instructed that that no act pass affecting trade or shipping without a clause declaring that the act shall not be in force until approved or confirmed by His Majesty. The proceedings are signed by Robert Hales.
