Abstract

Contains a deposition of William Lyon sworn before Nathaniel Harrison & Edmund Berkeley regarding bribes to his fellow prisoners on board the Elizabeth & Anne of Liverpool. According to Lyon, some of the prisoners being transported to Virginia were allowed to make their escape at Cork, Ireland, after they bribed the master of the vessel.
