Abstract

Contains a petition of Richard Cocke, Jr., to Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood asking for a patent for 2,497 acres of land on the forks of Beaverdam Creek on the north side of the James River in Henrico County. According to the petition, this land was entered & surveyed by John Pleasants who relinquished it to Robert Blaws, who in turn relinquished it to petitioner.
