Abstract

Contains a petition of Philip Lightfoot to Lieutenant Governor Alexander Spotswood asking for a patent to Barnaby Macquinney for land in Blackwater. According to the petition, Lightfoot purchased a certificate of rights from Mrs. Jane Park in 1704 and sold it to Barnaby Macquinney.
