Abstract

Contains an address of the House of Burgesses to Alexander Spotswood, Lieutenant Governor, in reply to his speech regarding the advancement of trade and the preservation of peace. The House of Burgesses writes that they will enquire into the advancement of their staple commodity, tobacco, which has sunk to intolerable lowness.
