GOVERNOR MARK R. WARNER ADMINISTRATION WEB ARCHIVE

The Web archive of the Administration of Governor Mark R. Warner (2002-2006) contains archived versions of Web sites for the Governor's Office, his initiative sites, and the sites of his cabinet secretaries. Also included are the related sites for the First Lady, as well as the Lieutenant Governor and the Attorney General, two officials elected in the same cycle as Governor Warner.

Mark R. Warner was elected the 69th governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia in November 2001. As Virginia's governors may not serve more than one term consecutively, he left office on January 14, 2006, following the inauguration of his successor, Tim Kaine. Since that point, the only access to the Web legacy of Governor Warner and his cabinet is through this collection.

The Web sites in this collection were captured during the last four months of Governor Warner's administration but contain content built from day one of the administration. From September 20, 2005, through the election in November, the Governor's and First Lady's sites were captured daily, while those of his initiatives and cabinet secretaries were captured weekly. Following the election, all sites were crawled and captured on a weekly basis through the end of his term.

The Web archive of the Administration of Governor Mark R. Warner (2002-2006) is included in the Virginia's Political Landscape, Fall 2005 collection.
